NAIAD EGUIDE

Demonstrate the role that Nature Based Solutions can play as an insurance system against the impacts from climate change.

The NAIAD e-guide aims to maximize the NAIAD project’s uptake and impact by describing the products, resources, and methods understandably to non-experts. The E-GUIDE will enhance users’ capability to investigate the possibilities of including science-related issues relevant to local problems and help formulate solutions. The e-guide is designed to facilitate navigation through the vast results of NAIAD according to end-users needs.

Each of the products/resources has been classified by the NAIAD strategic objective that aims to contribute. The information has been arranged within each objective depending on the tool’s purpose, method or approach (i.e. NBS economic valuation, system assessment, identification of barriers for NBS implementation, etc.). Extensive information on the work carried out in each DEMOS can also be accessible through the e-guide entry-point.

The NAIAD e-guide is oriented to those interested in quickly gaining knowledge on the products developed within NAIAD. Specifically to those end-users interested in implementing NBS to reduce risks and consider the insurance value of nature (i.e. water and city planners, regional authorities, researchers and insurance sector).

Ways to NAVIGATE through NAIAD results

NAIAD STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

To provide a robust assessment framework for the testing, evidence data collection and operationalization of nature based solutions (NBS)
To pilot methodologies in “DEMO Living Solution Labs” across diverse risk and NBS contexts to provide locally nuanced co-developed and tested models.
To Support the EU (member states and Commission strategies) to identify and address specific barriers and opportunities for the uptake of NBS and natural assurance schemes policy instruments, business models and innovation
