REVIVO is a young (November 2015) small non-profit NGO with a strong ambition and potential to become one of the leading environmental action entities in Slovenia. We have a wide background and experience in Ecology of Aquatic Ecosystems and their management both in fresh and marine waters. We specialise in research and subsequent mitigation of anthropogenic impacts on aquatic environments by working closely with stakeholders and managing authorities, bridging the gaps with innovative and integrated solutions adopted by all.
Having been gaining experience at the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia we have extensive hands-on experience cooperating with a multitude of stakeholders, including aquaculture operations, hydro-power plant operations and fishermen as well as Ministries and other administrative bodies at local, national and international levels.
Besides the NAIAD project, we are currently working to conserve sturgeons in the Interreg MEASURES project, develop regional marine fisheries sampling program within the STREAM project, raise awareness on the importance of aquatic ecosystems conservation of the general public in EVREKA project and study behavioural differences in marble and rainbow trout on Kanomljica river using telemetry.
