The Technical and Environmental Administration is one of seven administrations in the City of Copenhagen. The administration consists of four service sectors which together have the responsibility to run and develop the city for the benefit of citizens, users and industry. One of the service sectors is City Usage which handles mobility and city life in Copenhagen. City Usage ensures that companies and citizens comply with the rules of nature and environmental protection and provide support and service in the city.
Environmental Protection Department is a part of City Usage and is responsible for granting permits and supervises the environment and nature in relation to air, odour, noise, waste, soil and water. This also includes the monitoring of groundwater levels as a result of prolonged and / or intense rainfall, increased infiltration due to a more porous city and affected by the impact of climate change .
